Gaspe: Sculptures in the Sea at Sainte-Flavie

Credit for these extremely affecting sculptures, collectively called Le Grand Rassemblement, or The Grand Gathering, goes to Marcel Gagnon. They rise out of the constantly changing sea that is the St. Lawrence River at Ste-Flavie in Gaspesie, Quebec.

  1. Hey there,

I just stumbled upon your blog while looking up Gaspe. My mom, sisters and I are planning a girls trip at the end of September/beginning of October and I'm looking for must-see spots. This is certainly one I want to see. I kept coming across photos of these sculptures through flickr and google but your blog is the first one that actually gives information about the artist, sculptures and location. Thanks!
