We've Lost Our Dear Brenner

We lost our dear Brenner on Friday after a long illness. We miss him terribly.

He loved the water. He loved camp, swimming, and sticks!

He knew exactly how to relax!

Jack and Brenner

This was taken on the day, 5 years ago, when we chose him at Glen Highland Farm.
He had been rescued and spent a year on the farm healing body and soul.
He never lost his wildness, which made living with him a fantastic adventure.

Large Hubbard Squash and Brenner's Sidelong Glance

We won this magnificent Hubbard squash in a silent auction at the annual meeting of Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust, held at Tug Hill Vineyards near Lowville last Friday.
Brenner wonders why he is in the photo.

Florida, travel day 6: Rainbow Springs and Home for Nine Days

Rainbow Springs, the 4th largest spring in Florida, was an "attraction" before Disney erupted. The amusement rides, monorail and zoo are gone, although for history's sake some of the cage structures, waterfalls, and other infrastructure are left. What remains is a lovely blue spring and interesting landscaping including early blooming azaleas and camellias. This is our first Florida day, and it's a doozie!
A resident glossy ibis and the dock that is out our front door here in Floral City.
