We knew they were there, but not exactly where in that open space near the recycling bins. Our visitors implored Ed to stop the car and they both sprang out, much to our horror. Fortunately blueberries were the only thing on the menu that day!
If the blueberry crop for the year is a good one, they're in a great mood this time of year. As long as you don't get between them and the food, they're fine.
Now that is a real treat to see, as long as you keep your distance! A mama bear with cubs needs lots of space.
