Freedom of the Human Spirit by Marshall Fredericks, cast ca. 1964, rests on the grounds of the Queens Museum of Art.
Corona Park, otherwise called Flushing Meadows Park, is the site of two World's Fairs that have been held in New York, the first in 1939-40 and the other in 1964-65.
It's an unusual sculpture, but it works quite well!
