View North Toward Syracuse

[I posted the following comments with this photo on Facebook recently.]
This is the kind of scene that makes me turn the car around.

I was driving downhill, leaving SU's South Campus (where I have recently added a better hearing aid to my inventory).

The photo shows, from left, Carrier Dome; just behind it the imposing but dwarfed Crouse College; Day Hall on Mount Olympus at the top of SU (at the same latitude as Carrier Dome); and in the nearer distance at the right, Morningside Reservoir's (3) tanks. From this perspective it is easy to see how huge the Dome is.

Archimedes Russell: Crouse College at Syracuse University

Archimedes Russell, Architect
Built 1888-80
Nighttime pictures push the limits of my little camera.
I will return during daylight hours to explore
this astonishing building inside and out.
