Morocco: Skoura, over the High Atlas, to Marrakech

Morocco: Marrakech to Ouarzazate

We leave from Marrakech early Tuesday morning and drive east along the main road over the High Atlas Mountains. This western area facing the Atlantic Ocean is green and prosperous. We see snow high above us at the top of Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. The final photo here begins to illustrate the dryness of the climate as we descend toward the Draa River.
