Ottawa: The Chamber of Canada, To Be Renovated

The grand Red Chamber, home of the Senate of Canada, and all parts of the Centre Block of Parliament Hill, are undergoing a 10-year renovation. In the Red Chamber all the desks are removed, the lighting is subdued, and there will be no work done in here for a decade.

We were very fortunate to visit the Centre Block only days before is was closed for the duration.

    I like your take on it. I'm planning on getting into the temporary quarters for the Senate sometime. It's in the former Union Station, which for many years has served as a conference centre for the government.
