Niagara Mohawk Building in Chalk

Another chalk treasure by Stephen at Freedom of Espresso on Solar Street.

Love the perspective because we never see the entire building like this.
The buildings directly across the street block any such view.

Rap-Shaw: Late February

February 26: snow on the island above the knees; the lowest water/ice level I've seen, so that stumps and mounds have appeared in new places. There have been negative reports about Stillwater from snowmobilers unfamiliar with the terrain who strayed from the main trail. No wonder: gigantic piles of rocks, stumps, bumps, cracks in the ice as it bottomed out in places and became draped over high profile features.

Florida, travel day 6: Rainbow Springs and Home for Nine Days

Rainbow Springs, the 4th largest spring in Florida, was an "attraction" before Disney erupted. The amusement rides, monorail and zoo are gone, although for history's sake some of the cage structures, waterfalls, and other infrastructure are left. What remains is a lovely blue spring and interesting landscaping including early blooming azaleas and camellias. This is our first Florida day, and it's a doozie!
A resident glossy ibis and the dock that is out our front door here in Floral City.
